ANSONIA: Diane M. (Shea) Carpenter, age 43, of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest on November 3, 2018, at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Eric R. Carpenter.


     Diane was born in Derby on March 28, 1975, loving daughter of George and Elizabeth Cirivola Shea of Ansonia. She was a graduate of Derby High School and attended Berkeley College in New York City. Diane was currently employed as Lead Teller Supervisor at Sikorsky Federal Credit Union in Shelton and previously at Wells Fargo Bank in Shelton. She and Eric loved to travel, especially cruises and trips to Maine, and attend concerts.


     In addition to her husband and parents, she leaves to cherish her memory, a brother, Daniel Shea and his wife Melissa of Seymour, a sister, Karyn Shea of Ansonia, cherished nieces and nephew, Marissa Shea, Kayla Sanbrook and Brandon Shea, in-laws, Clarence and Deborah Carpenter of Ansonia and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and feline buddy, Jaxx.


     Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday November 7, 2018, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDENAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Thursday, November 8, 2018, Diane’s funeral service will begin at 10:00 am in the funeral home with Rev. Jeffrey Gubbiotti officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia. The family sends a heart-felt thank you to the nurses at Smilow Cancer Center for their wonderful care given to Diane. Our family is so saddened to learn of Dianes' passing , we cannot imagine your pain and sorrow during this difficult time. It was a blessing to know her. Keeping all of her family, friends and co workers in our prayers.

I still can't believe she's gone. I've had so many memorable moments with both Diane and Karyn. I will cherish them until we meet again. Thank you for being apart of my life Diane!
