News Death Notice

COGAN, Diane Catherine Age 69, of Beavercreek, Ohio passed away on Friday, March 22, 2013. Diane was born in Dayton, OH on October 5, 1943, the daughter of Nevin and Ann (Zarasty) Gaines, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brother, David Gaines. Diane is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Cogan, to whom she was united in marriage on June 15, 1963 in Dayton. Diane was a loving mother of 3 children, Tim Cogan (Brenda), Terrie Hickey (Kenny), Tammy McVicar (Chris). She is also survived by her sister, Pat Johnston (Carroll); a brother-in-law, Dick and Bobby Cogan. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren, Sean (fiancé Katrina), Hillary (fiancé Tony), Brian, Andrew, Lexi, Kate, Thomas, Joseph, Matthew, Carly and one great grandchild, Kaylee Hickey. She was previously employed with her daughters at CK and Dynamic Senior Solutions. She took great pride in keeping the family circle strong. Family was Diane's passion and delight. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at St. Helen Catholic Church, 5100 Burkhardt Road, Riverside, OH with Father David Brinkmoeller, celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME - BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 5 to 7 p.m. . In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cogan family. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.tobiasfuneralhome.com
