Diane Evelyn Crist passed away January 21, 2012 at Rose Medical Center in Denver. She was 74.
She was born March 16, 1937 in Upper Darby, PA to Frank and Evelyn Haelle.
Diane married Richard Crist on June 16, 1958 in Arlington, VA. Together they moved to Longmont in 1976 from New York.
Diane felt her most important job was being a mother and grandmother, she was at her best when being a homemaker. She attended Rocky Mountain Christian Church where she volunteered with the Holy Terrors, and was active in the senior center and knitting club.
She loved spending time with her family and attending all her grandchildren's activities where she was their biggest fan.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents; one brother Frank Haelle; and one sister Carolyn Ashton.
She is survived by her husband Richard; three sons Richie, Billy, and Michael; two daughters Evie Franke, and Kathy Ewing; fifteen grandchildren Courtney, Kyle, Nicole, Brandon, Erik, Matthew, Joshua, Jordan, Rachel, Kristen, Ryan, Sean, Shane, Brian, and Jason; two great-grandchildren Jacob and Sarah; and two sisters Virginia Pearson, and Franny Beckley.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM Tuesday January 24, 2012 at Rocky Mountain Christian Church Niwot Campus with viewing 30 minutes prior to the service beginning at 11:00 AM. Cremation will follow the service at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. Memorial contributions may be made to The Hope Cancer Center in c/o Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
