Diane MacEvoy FitzSimmons

I just found out that Diane passed away this year. We rented next door to Diane for years at Vista Gardens in Vero Beach FL. She was a good friend, always cheerful, always made me welcome to stop in for a glass of wine. Frank and I saw her and Carolyn last year at the Vero Beach Opera performance of Three Tenors. I have very fond memories of working with Dean FitzSimmons and was honored to have followed in her footsteps to becoming the Associate Dean for the West Essex Campus. I loved it when Diane would visit the West Caldwell campus (post-retirement) and bring her gorgeous grandchildren. She looked her happiest then and this is how I will remember her. I´m so sorry to hear about Diane. We were colleagues but I got to know her mostly after work when we were members of the "work hard, play hard " group. We had lots of laughs. Diane was a great mentor to many. I will think of her every June 9th, as we share the same birthday. Rest in peace Diane.
