Not sure what to say?

To the entire Geppi family~

I never knew nor met Diane, rather a friend that lives in Maryland told me about her and her brave stuggle with a brain tumor. You see, I am fighting that too, a tumor in my brain stem that was 80% removed in 2001, but has managed to grow back. Weeks of radiation and chemo and now 3 more "little tumors" have appeared. When I feel down, I look at what Diane accomplished and her valiant fight with this disease. I applaud her strength and SHE gives me the...

John & Katherine,
Please accept my deepest sympathy in the death of Diane. God Bless You and Your Family. Know that Diane is resting with her maker.

My brother Randy and I had the distinct privilege of coaching Diane (Geppi) Aikens in Howard County Women's softball in the early 1980's. Diane was our spark plug, not only was she the best player on our team, she was the kindest, most coachable, most generous and gracious teammate a person could have. She played the game like she lived her life, to the fullest, with the greatest effort and enthusiasm she could muster. Thanks to her "never give up" attitude she brought us back to a Season...

I Knew Her Back When ...

Back in the early 1980's Diane, my twin brother, and I were all working at Bendix and going to college. Diane and I chose Loyola. As her softball coach, I was lucky enough to have her play shortstop for Bendix. She was amazing. There's was nothing Diane could not do. Softball was important in her family back then. We celebrated the birth of our first born about the same time in the mid 80's and Diane was always enthusiastic around her father's work...

MY HEART IS VERY HEAVY AT THIS TIME, FOR DIANE'S FAMILY AND CHILDREN. I REMEMBER HER WHEN SHE AND MY DAUGHTER SHAWNE WERE IN PARKVILLE SR. HIGH TOGETHER. SHE WAS SUCH A SWEET AND CARING PERSON EVEN THAN. IT WAS SUCH A JOY WATCHING HER ATHLETIC PERFORMENCE ON THE LACROSS FIELD THEN AS WELL AS THESE PAST YEARS. SHE WILL BE DEARLY MISSED BY MANY.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
The Bittner Family

To the Family of Diane M. Geppi-Aikens: We wish to express our sympathy to you. The scripture at Isaiah 51:12 has helped us in the past to cope with our grief. We hope it will also help you.

My daughter went to many of Diane's lax camps over the years and enjoyed them very much. Diane always had time for her and for my family. Years later, when we would see her, she would remmember us as if she saw us everyday. The lacrosse world is family oriented and on Sunday we all lost a member of the family

Our deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones in this time of sorrow. May God's saving grace be felt by all who are affected by the passing of a such a special person. Diane has left an indelible mark on all of us. May she rest in peace!
