Diane Marie Hickerson, age 60 was born on August 31, 1960 in New Orleans, LA was granted her Angel wings on Friday, February 19, 2021 at her home in Gretna, Louisiana. Diane was educated in New Orleans Public School System, she was a 1979 graduate of Alcee Fortier Senior High School and attended Southern University of New Orleans. “Marie” was an amazing Certified Nursing Assistant who proudly served her clients. 
Diane, affectionately known as “Marie” to all, was the proud and loving mother of her only child, Alexander Alonzo Keys Jr., and the doting grandmother to Addisyn “Addy” whom she adored. She leaves to cherish her memories her sisters, Linda Teasett and Mary Matthews (Charles); brothers John Henry Ard; Michael Hickerson (David Munroe) and Ronald Hickerson (Sabrina); former husband/lifetime friend, Alexander Alonzo Keys, Sr., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Diane is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Lawrence Hickerson, Sr. and Sadie Knox Hickerson and a brother, Charlie Lawrence Hickerson, Jr. Due to city and government regulations, only a limited number of relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home, 2120 Jackson Avenue at 10:00 a..m. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Interment Westlawn Cemetery-Gretna, LA. Due to COVID-19 all those in attendance are required to wear a face mask and to practice social distancing.
