Dr. Karl was my endocrinologist for many years and I loved her practical approach to the treatment of my Type I diabetes. I appreciated her sound medical advice and gentle, yet firm, guidance with diabetes situations which challenged me. Dr. Karl is one of the main reasons I have lived a life free of the debilitating complications associated with Type I diabetes and I will be forever grateful for her outstanding medical care. She was a wonderful physician. Please accept my sincere condolences.

I remember meeting Diane and Matt at a Diabetes Fundraiser and walk many years ago when I worked at the diabetes treatment center at Providence in Portland. She was bright and had a great sense of humor-and a first rate physician. My condolences to her family and to those who were fortunate to be her friends. May God be good to this very new angel.

Was perusing the Oregonian obits and saw this notice.Did not recognize who it was but Bucknell caught my eye.I then realized that this was my old acquaintance/friend from another lifetime at Bucknell.I remember Diane as being really smart,talented and a really nice person.On occaission she would catch a ride with me at holiday time back to NJ.Her family home was not far from the highway I travelled from Lewisburg to Brooklyn.I remember the last time I saw her.Was in the late 60´s.An...
