Grateful to have witnessed creation, Diane returns to the warm darkness from whence she came. Always curious about the world around her she loved nature and wanted to learn more, explore colors and bring out the beauty she saw in so many places. Diane was an independent type who relished her...

Not sure what to say?

My husband and I are members of the Grand Rapids AARP volunteer team. The team hosted a holiday lights trolley ride last December. It was our first time attending a GR AARP volunteer event. It was COLD waiting in the parking lot for everyone to arrive. We felt a little shy. Diane was the first person to walk up to us in the parking lot. She introduced herself and then took us around to various cars and introduced us others on the team. I remember thinking: "I love what she´s wearing!" I...

Diane was a unique creative person whom I met in one of Sue Sinnamon´s spirituality groups. We shared several activities like mountain biking (my first time) on a trail in Ottawa County. Diane was intrepid and devoured the moment. I admired her vast diversity and shared her love of having many creative activities in one´s life. Her energy will be missed by anyone who had the good fortune to share some time with her.

My dear Diane, we had fun a few years back. I am saddened by your passing. You were a good friend, and kind of mentor. You will always be in my heart.

It is with a sad heart that I read this obituary. Diane was a rare soul, a woman brimming with curiosity, passion and a strong desire to protect our beautiful world and combat injustice. She was a force to be reckoned with whom I loved and I will miss her dearly and deeply. Lynn

Larry & I are so sorry for your family's loss , keeping the entire family in our prayers especially Phil & Karla Lange, Larry remembers Diane fondly from their meetings on job sites downtown when she was a Building Inspector. I remember her warm personality & radiant smile. Her artistic talent started young I believe there was a dresser in their house upstairs that she had applied a poster split between the drawers (Mickey Mouse I think) it was decoupage before it's time . Rest in peace
