Diane E. McDevitt (McIntyre)

Louisville, KY - Diane E. McDevitt (McIntyre), age 70, of Louisville, KY passed away on July 27, 2017, at her home with her children at her side.

Born July 8, 1947 in Rahway, NJ, she lived in Edison, NJ, before moving to Louisville, KY, where she made her home and raised her children.

Diane graduated from Edison HS in 1964 at the age of 16, and was the girl valedictorian of her class. She graduated from the University of Louisville in 1978, earning BA degrees in Psychology and Sociology. In 1982 she graduated from Watterson College for computer programming and was employed as a computer programmer for most of her life.

Diane loved her family, her pets, her garden and country music but her love of reading endured throughout her livre.

She was predeceased by her parents; Elizabeth and Archibald K. McIntyre and her ex-husbands; Alan Gene Drury and Michael McDevitt. She is survived by her son; Galen Lee Drury of Louisville, KY; a daughter, Stacey Lynn Wildt and her husband Donny of Taylorsville, KY; two grandsons, Michael Drury and Brice Mills; and a sister, Jean Maines and her husband John of Jackson, NJ.

As per her wishes, cremation was private.
