Not sure what to say?

To the family of Diane Murphy. I'm Philip Petri the son of Emma Petri. My Mom and Diane were great friends. They both worked at Northrop. I just got the bad news today I hadn't talked to your Mom in probably 10 months. She was my California Mom. Diane spent many nights having dinner with us when she was living in Lawndale and we spent many evenings with her over at the house. After me and my wife Wendy got married we rented the house from Diane. While she was with Lenny up in the high desert...

Diane Murphy. My "California Mom". I met Diane through our respective jobs at Northrop - - mine being a fledgling liaison engineer with a responsibility to amend blueprints, and hers working in the document center where I checked out the blueprints needing revision. I saw her almost daily during those years and I could tell what a loving, sweet, caring, and giving person she was. We would occasionally go to lunch somewhere or other around Hawthorne and we always had something to talk...

I will miss you Aunt Diane, and I think of you whenever I see Zinnia's growing. We both love zinnia's!

Mom & Lennie while we visited Maryland's Eastern Shore @2001

I want to share more wonderful experiences I had with my Beautiful, Intelligent MOM with everyone. Mom you were truly blessed to have a wonderful husband "Lennie". You knew you got the best, loving, understanding, caring man!

We loved going to the Kettle restaurant in Manhattan Beach, Ca for Breakfast, then walk around the ocean pier and sand and look through the stores. We loved going to the Charter House and other great restaurants for dinner (one night the wind was so high we...

I met Diane in 1960 When we first came to California. We became friends for all these years. We and the kids had some good times together. My ex husband and their friends went to school together in North Attleboro. My2nd husband and [ SOUL MATE]and her 2nd husband Lennie had many good times together.I will miss her calls. She is in a far better place now.

My grandma was the sweetest woman. I remember going up to Victorville to visit her as a kid and going to lay out by the lake. My brother and I also always loved it when she took us to the McDonald's that was in a train. Her and Lennie were always so fun and lively. We had a great time with them. I was looking through some old pictures the other day and was reminded of all of the fun times we had together. You will be missed. I love you.

Mom at the ocean

My Mom was loving and supportive. She was a single Mom for years and worked hard to provide for my sister and I. One of her favorite places was Manhattan Beach CA. On Sundays we would go to our Grandma's house and share Sunday dinner. We enjoyed sewing together and talking. My Mom loved football. Years ago she took me to the LA Coliseum to watch the LA Rams. That was quite a site to see. When in Massachusetts she routed for the Patriots. She also enjoyed watching Tiger Woods golf. She was a...
