Not sure what to say?

Diane was in my class at THS,1956, a close friend. I did not know of her death until a classmate posted the obituary. I remember so many wonderful spend the night parties, her wonderful wit, how we had similar tastes in books. And we both became English teachers! She was supportive of my writing, helped with the readings in Talladega. To her daughter Kay and to all her family, Mack and I send our most sincere condolences. She will, I know, be missed.

She was my first best friend when we moved into town from the country. Our experiences together are many, many. Her g'mother, Mrs. Jenkins, became everyone's friend. To all the family left, I am truly sorry that Diane is gone. She was always a dreamer, and I loved those dreams we shared at spend-the-nigh parties. may her memory be enternal.

Diane and I grew up together through the years in Talladega, and I would like to express my sympathy to her sisters and daughter and family. Their home was a haven of fun for us girls to visit. She will be missed in Talladega. Betty Scruggs Gunn '56 class of THS

We all loved Diane and admire her in our sr. Class.
She will be happy to now be with her family in heaven.

I had the pleasure of teaching with Diane for a few years at Childersburg High. She was a special, funny, kind, witty, and caring. Her family will remain in my thoughts and prayers!

I am sorry to hear this.

Diane Orsini will always remain the greatest teacher I ever had. I was lucky enough to have her for English AND world history and they will always stand out as my favorites. But Ms. Orsini didn't just teach me English and history. She made me feel important. And special. She helped me to believe that the things circling my brain were worth hearing. She continued to guide me throughout my high school career and still read my works into my first couple of years in college. She was the kind of...

The best teacher I ever had has taken her place as a bright star in heaven. I will never forget what your support of me during difficult times has meant and how you helped make a difference.
