Diane Marie Weber, affectionately known as Di or Di Di, passed away on September 1, 2024, in Loudoun County, Virginia, at the age of 59. She was born on August 10, 1965, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her family moved back to their hometown in Illinois where they lived for a short time. When her dad transferred to Bethesda Naval Hospital, in Maryland, the family moved to Virginia, where she met and cherished many good friends. She attended McLean High School and continued her education at Pfeiffer College in Misenheimer, NC, graduating with a BS in Criminology.
Diane's career spanned over three decades at Costco’s Northeast Region Buying Office, where she excelled as an Assistant Buyer. Her work ethic and dedication were mirrored in every aspect of her life, particularly in her interests and hobbies.
Diane served as the heart of her home and family. She worked tirelessly to ensure those around her were taken care of and well-loved. She and her beloved husband Stephen created a magical childhood for her children Austin and Brooke. Diane was deeply creative, and it showed through in every family gathering where she would create, plan, and execute unique themes and games for those around her to enjoy. Diane and her husband created an annual party aptly named “Weberitaville,” that everyone looked forward to attending. She was an avid sports enthusiast playing soccer, softball, volleyball, cheering in high school and college then later a coach and mentor in youth soccer and volleyball. Her love for crafting, watching movies, creating family and group games, boating, beach outings, and participating in Jimmy Buffett concerts showcased her fun-loving and vibrant personality.
Diane began her community involvement at an early age as a childhood member of Crossman United Methodist Church in Falls Church, VA, and Theta Rho Girl’s Club, whose motto is happiness through service. Her connection, dedication, and passion for youth were apparent in her involvement in the community. Her guidance, direction, coaching and mentoring touched all of those around her.
Diane leaves behind a loving family: her husband, Stephen C. Weber; children, Austin C. Weber and Brooke M. Weber; twin sister, Sandy J. Deutel and her husband Marc; sister, Leslie A. Jacobs and her husband Ritchie; brother, Donald E. Becker and his wife Linda; mother-in-law Barbara G. Weber, sister-in-law, Diane W. Mundell and her husband Thomas; sister-in-law, Brenda W. Sigler and her husband Roy; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeri M. and Dale E. Becker, and her father-in-law, Harry L. Weber.
Diane's legacy of joy, creativity, and selflessness will continue to inspire all who knew her, and she will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and community.
