Not sure what to say?

Diane and I grew up together from elementary school throughout graduation at Loris High School. I was invited over to the Wolperts home often. I spent the night with my friend and she spent the night at my home. Once while were eating supper Mrs. Wolpert (Edith) ask me if I had Jewish bloodlines. She smiled across the table replying that I looked Jewish. Diane was a " hoot" that's why we got along great together. Diane would chuckle calling me a "hoot." Those were happy days. The Wolpert...

My husband worked as an Underwriter in the 1980's and worked with Diane. We bought a condo in Dunwoody, GA around 1982 and was so pleased to find out that the neighbor across the hall was Diane!!! Our son was born in April and when we brought him home from the hospital it was an extremely cold and windy night. My husband had misplaced the key to our unit and was searching all his pockets. I was standing shivering with the baby in the open air hallway between the units when Diane opened...

Diane was a true friend, we shared good times, bad times, crazy times, in between times,we shared life and we enjoyed it! As is true with so many of her friends, I was fortunate enough to meet her when I first moved to Atlanta and we became fast friends. I was completely amazed at how Diane could remember every detail about every person, their life, their families, etc. and keep it straight. Although I have lived in Florida for 27 years, it did not change our friendship, she came to visit...

"If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......'My day was not in vain.'
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile."

We will all dearly miss Diane and her smiles. She will always remain in my heart.

I met Diane in the late 60's in Atlanta. Although we weren't always in touch, she has remained a part of my life. She was the Godmother of my first son,Harper, and we were very close for a number of years. She will always be in my thoughts and memories,

Dear Wolpert Family,
I am so honored to have had the pleasure of spending time with Diane. I met her during her illness and would visit her with my cookies. Initially I intended to be doing something nice for her but soon realized that I was receiving much more than I was giving as Diane was such an amazing woman. She really made the world a better place and I have no doubt that she is making her next world a better and more fun place as well.
