Not sure what to say?

Diane was such a kind, warm, and deep-thinking person, who genuinely cared about other people and delighted in helping others. We were priveleged to know her and to have worked with her at Charity. Our sympathy to her family and friends.

Alice and Jon Lowry

I was so sorry to read of Diane's passing. I enjoyed working with her at Charity very much. She was always so fiendly to everyone. My condolences to her friends and family.

I was so sad when I heard of Diane's passing. It is hard to imagine a world without Diane. We worked together in MAP at Charity hospital, and she was always so full of life. My fondest memory of her is seeing her in a white cotton dress as she danced effortlessly across the grass at a Jazz & Heritage concert. She looked so lovely with her red hair cascading down her back. I will always keep that picture of her in my mind. You will be missed Diane.

I came to know Diana when I would visit my brother Frank Aseron in NOLA. Diana and we would trade stories from our own Latino perspectives - she from Puerto Rico and we from Panama. I admired her sensitivity about gender and ethnic issues about which she was so passionate yet so gentle. I have good fond loving memories of being with Diana and Lome whe he was just a little kid. I'll miss her and her green thumb.

Diane was quite a big personality to me throughout my life (another Charbonnet second generation). Her presence, even form afar, will be missed. My son remembers her parties, guava-filled king cakes, and the garden.
Love to the family and the ladies. I wish I could be with you for the potluck, but I will toast from the Canary Islands (Diane would like, too).

Diane became one of my yoga students and friends in the beginning 80's. She came on one of our retreats to San Miguel where I now live. She has always been in my thoughts and was one of the most intelligent and sensitive women I have ever known. She will be missed by so many.

Oh, Diane, you leave a large hole in your circle of friends. I'm glad I got to see you when I was in town in November, and I wish I could be there to celebrate your life. I have wonderful memories of your dancing with abandon to "The Harder They Fall" at our weekly pot-lucks back in the '70s, your gorgeous red hair swaying along with the colorful fabric of your dresses. How ironic that I just finished watching "Thank You for Smoking" before logging on to NOLA.com and learning of your...

We are sad to see one of The Ladies pass on.

Condolences from Denise Charbonnet's second and third generation - the Green Chans in Orlando.
