It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dianne Carol Regnier-Kowalchuk.
Dianne passed peacefully in the company of family and her best friend, Watson, on September 15, 2023, at the Goodwill Manor Nursing Home in Duck Lake, SK.
Dianne was born November 29, 1955, at Edam, SK, to Edward (Ed) and Lorraine (St. Marie) Regnier. She grew up in Prince Albert, SK, having attended the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary School, going on to further her education in cosmetology and then receiving her GED in Yorkton, SK.
Dianne’s greatest joy was the births and lives of her three children, Jennifer, Joanne, and Mitchell.
She married Thomas Kowalchuk in September of 1999 and together they owned and operated a family business in construction on an acreage just outside of Yorkton, SK.
Dianne loved gatherings with family and friends, cooking, gardening, evenings by the firepit, sunrises on the deck, and music. She had a great passion for all types of music.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Dianne was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Lorraine; sister, Elaine; brother-in-law, Dave Viala; and beloved pets, Simba, Dixie, Mindy, and Cujo.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Kowalchuk; daughters, Jennifer (Dan) Walton and Joanne Boguslaw; son, Mitchell (Kim) Regnier; stepdaughters, Cassandra Kowalchuk and Stephanie (Kevin) Spelliscy; her treasured ten grandchildren; brother, Bernard (Joan) Regnier; sisters, Corrine (Wayne) Smith, Annette (Denis) Ulmer, Jeannine Viala, and Jocelyn (Trevor) Stretch; parents-in-law, Adolph and Esther Kowalchuk; and her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and her beloved pets: Abby and Sheeba, and best friend and service dog, Watson.
In her honour, a Memorial Service was held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 30, 2023, from the Chapel of Leson’s Funeral Home, Canora, SK, with Ken Rolheiser officiating. Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, as tokens of remembrance, in memory of Dianne Regnier-Kowalchuk.
