Not sure what to say?

The last time I saw Dick was at a Lakewood football game,he was in a wheel chair,I got down on one knee and looked him in the eyes, and I said you taught me more about respect than my father!!! He was a man's man, the world lost a great human being! Rest in peace

I worked in a community where Dick lived. I remember the first day I met him, I was working in the dining room as a server. Mr. Cardinal looked up at me and said, “Man, if only I were your age and had your hair!” From that moment on, Dick would only sit in my section whenever I was working.

I was just a young kid, still in high school, and he would stay late talking with me about my future. I told him I wanted to go into the entertainment industry. At the time, I was nervous that...

You were a great man and a awesome influence, toplay football for you was a privledge. I think of yu ofter and Vince Lombardi quotes. All my love to you. My condolences to your love ones. Miss you Coach.

Dick was a friend, mentor, and a coach to me at lakewood. He encouraged me to strive to be my best, both on and off the field. I will miss him, but will carry his memories with me forever.

Whether football, track, fitness, math, work productivity, or life, Coach Cardinal was a huge inspiration.
My good buddy Mark and I have recalled his lessons often over the years.
His knowledge transcended to real understanding.
A truly wise, disciplined soul.
I will always have privileged memories as a student, athlete, and employee.

Your days in this world were full of love and happiness; I learned from you many things. Never give up, laugh about my problems and try to be the best in everything I do, thanks for everything and being such a great role model, rest in peace.

A good heart has stop beating, a good soul ascended to heaven. I know Emma , Craig and Vern are greeting you, My prayers are with you always.

Very proud of my Uncle Richard and the life he lived. Lots of good memories about him and the influence he had on my life and career. He always took time to show a personal interest. During my youth, my brothers, friends, and I used to enjoy watching him in wrestling matches on TV and in person. And, he always had a good magic trick or two up his sleeve. Will miss him, but never forget him! Love, Brad & Marita Cardinal

It has been quite a while since last saw Dick, but I certainly remember him well. Several years ago, I used to work out with him in the work out/ exercise room in the basement of the old Everett Elks. Those of us who spent time there considered Dick a model, mentor and most of all a friend. He was so well versed on physical training and willing to help any of us in his informative, caring way. In short, Dick was a guy of immense physical strength and equally immense character. We could use a...
