Dick Naatjes, 87, of Sioux Falls, SD passed away peacefully by his loved ones on Friday, June 14, 2024.


Dick was born on January 2, 1937, in Canton, SD.  Dick retired from the U.S. Post Office.  His daily entertainment was TV, especially sports. He also enjoyed following his many friends on Facebook.  Dick loved bowling, hunting, and was an avid fisherman. 


He married his high school sweetheart, Marlys Rorem.  They were married for 68 years.  Together, they had a son, Jeffrey and a daughter, Vicki.  Vicki brought great joy to his life as did his grandchildren.  Grateful for sharing his life is his wife Marlys, daughter Vicki, and grandchildren; Tom, Tony, and Aurora Naatjes.  He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey.  


A Celebration of Life Visitation with family present will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2024, from 6-8 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, Sioux Falls, SD.


Memorials may be directed to Heritage Funeral Home to be forwarded to the family.

Sorry for your loss Marlys, I lost my wife almost 17 years ago.

Chic and Vicki, I’m so sad to hear about Dick’s passing. You are such an amazing, beautiful family. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of loss.
