Dick was a bright light to all who were privileged to know him. In the years that we served together on the City Council, Dick always carried himself with grace, wisdom and civility. He had that rare quality of working tirelessly for consensus where that was possible, and being able to disagree without being disagreeable when a meeting of the minds could not be achieved. Thank you for allowing me the honor of taking care of your father and husband. You welcomed me into your home and I am so lucky to have met all of you. He will be greatly missed but remember he is in peace now. My deepest condolences to you and your entire family.

We'll always remember all the great golf outings and all the good times we had together. He was a great guy.

I was so sad to hear of Dick's passing. He was quite a guy! So happy and such good humor. It was an honor to have him in our city. He and Jim did a lot of kidding around.
Try and remember your many happy memories.
