Dick Slagle

My Uncle Dick was a gracious man, giving and full of history of the Republic area, Kettle Range, and Metz France WWII. He let our family of ten use his cabin as was always a wonderful easy going person. We do miss him but know that he is in good hands with His savior. Dick was an amazing and kind man and outstanding member of his community. He shared stories of many generations for many families.
Our family will remember him fondly.

Sincere condolences to the Slagle family. My fond memories include Dick as Scoutmaster, teaching me how to sail his boat without tipping it over, and seeing him making his daily brisk walks around town. His love of the outdoors and all things historical was inspiring.
