Not sure what to say?

I was so saddened to hear about Dill Conway-James' passing. I retired in late 2004 and moved away from the Clear Lake area. I remember interfacing with him and also Frank Gerry many times over the years. Dill was a great guy, very personable and very smart. No matter what level a person was at, he always made them feel important.

Such a wonderful guy. I wish I would have seen this notice before now.

Dill came from the old IBM Mainframe era, which is where I came...

I DID NOT KNOW DILL VERY WELL (I AM THE SISTER OF ALAINS WIFE)BUT THE FEW TIMES THAT I WAS ABLE TO BE WITH HIM WERE VERY PLEASANT. HE WAS A HAPPY MAN WITH A GREAT SINCE OF HUMOR. JUST AN ALL AROUND GREAT GUY TO BE WITH. MY MOTHER AND HIM GOT ALONG VERY WELL BECAUSE SHE AS WELL WAS A FIREFIGHTER IN TEXAS.

MY PRAYERS GO OUT TO HIM AND THE FAMILY.
WE LOVE YOU DILL

As a friend of Alain’s, I visited Dill’s home in Brook Forest often. Dill’s humor and warmth always made me feel welcomed. I was evidently not alone, as the Conway-James house always seemed to be packed with friends of both Alain and Natalie. I know that we all appreciated the hospitality shown by Dill and Jeanne and I treasure the memories and advice given to me by Dill.

One thing that always struck me about Dill was his passion to help others. I remember, at a long anticipated...

i worked with Dill when I first started with IBM at NASA. He was a very intelligent and truly friendly guy to work with - he will be missed. I hope there is some solitude in knowing that he influenced many people at IBM, and his influence lives with many of us to this day. We are all better people for having known him.

Dill was a truly remarkable and compassionate person. When I first started as a green kid at the Space Center, he took me under his wing and kept me straight. I have thought of him often and will continue to do so. All of my sympathies to his family.

Dill was respected in ways that words cannot describe and for more than he would ever take credit.

Dill will be truely missed. My heart aches for you. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

love Sandy
