I worked with Dillon while I was a graduate student at Oklahoma State University. I used the results of his calculations to aid in my own calculations involving various chemical complexes we were working on, ultimately leading to my own PhD. I moved to Maryland for a post-doctoral position. While there Dillon invited me over for dinner with him and his wife. After dinner he and I went to the basement to discus physics. I was so sad to hear of Dillon's passing. I loved listening to all of his wisdom from Einstein's theory of relativity to improvements for Uncle Ed's railroad in the basement. He always spread laughter and knowledge and will be remembered fondly. All my love,

So sorry to read of Dillon's passing. Bucky and I so enjoyed having Dillon and Pat as neighbors -- and Bucky looked to Dillon for stimulating conversation and intelligent debate even as his own health was deteriorating. Dillon was so kind to him. He will be missed by all whose lives he touched.
