She is survived by siblings, Richard Simmons, Gwendolyn Boykin and Gloria Rumph of Birmingham, Jimmie Simmons of Memphis, TN and David Simmons of Sykesville, MD. A private graveside service will be held at Carver Cemetery. There will be no public viewing. Roberts Central Park Chapel, directing.
