Not sure what to say?

The love that my Aunt Dina showed to all was just amazing, and her memory will live on in our hearts. Her concern about others well-being was legendary; she was always so concerned about others and I knew when I got done talking to my beloved aunt, I would always feel better about the world. I know I've learned a lot about how to live life from Dina, and I will miss her. I know she wants us to move forward and be happy, and I'll try my best!

One of my favorite Dina memories was her delight at seeing me at church when she was coming back from communion. Her face would light up and she would have to contain herself not to yell out my name, sometimes she could not.
Another would be always seeing her driving down King Street at about 10 miles per hour. When she moved away I felt Santa Cruz was just not the same. My heart goes out to her family during this sad time.

In 1956 when our family first moved to Santa Cruz, my Mother, Aileen, would tell the story of how much she missed the large family that she had left behind in Iowa. When our family went to Mass at Holy Cross we were greeted on the steps by Judge Scoppettone who came up and introduced himself, commented on what a beautiful day it was and how nice it was to meet us. My Mom never forgot that small kindness, and Dina never tired of hearing me tell her that story.
Thus began life long...

Dear Grandma;
For so many years we all have been honored to have been loved and adored by you. When I say all, I really mean all who ever crossed your path. Children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends, the mail man, the gardener, the hostess, the grocery store clerk, the hair dresser, the banker, the priest...and the list goes on. Never have I seen anyone who has touched the lives of so many and made each person feel so special.
You are loved by all.

To the Dina Scoppettone Family,

I've been away from my roots in
Santa Cruz for many years now,
but did always remember Dina as
a warm & beautiful person. I saw
that in her children, too.

My words can't express the emotions
of your grief, but know that many
care deeply as I do, half-way across the
world by sea.

Surely you'll remember for years
to come. The joy of Dina's voice
her touch, and most of all,...
