I fondly remember Linda Dias and extend condolences on behalf of the family of Maria Silva Neves to Julia and other family. Some of us in my family arrived from Portugal in 1956. As kids in elementary school, Linda guided us through homework & learning English for a good while. She guided my mother into registering us kids to attend Camp Frederick Edwards. Julia, I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom. I worked with Linda at Peerless foods in the 60's. She was very kind to me. She gave me a ride to work in the morning and home in the evening. We had lunch together most days and frequently "flew" to Ware in the Cadillac, had lunch at Crystal Springs, shopped at Durand Sisters and "flew" back to Ludlow in little more than our lunch hour. My Dear Julie, As you know, your Mom was the Sister of my heart and she has surely taken a large piece of my heart with her. I have loved her dearly all of my life and have memories beyond compare. Awww, Julie - I'm so very sorry to learn your mom has passed. Two things I'm sure of: she couldn't have asked for a better daughter... and I'm sure she'll be in good company now. My sincerest condolences; may she rest in God's eternal peace.
