It was great to have Dirk as VP of Heartland Pathways, helping us transition from the organization which was founded by Dave Monk to combine forces with the Friends of the Kickapoo Rail Trail with a broader vision of connecting hiking/biking trails across East Central Illinois. Dirk was instrumental in working with residents of Piatt County to form Trails for Piatt County to work on developing Heartland Pathways' rail corridors in Piatt County with a dream of connecting it to Champaign-Urbana...
