Not sure what to say?

To Dixie's family:
I didn't keep in touch and learned belatedly of her passing. When I was hard-up for cash as a student, she bought some art supplies from me, which weren't necessarily of the highest quality. I was impressed by her kindness and generosity. I'm sorry I don't know you all better. My love to you at this difficult time.

Dixie was one of the blessings of our lives. When Sandy called to let us know of her passing, the first thing I thought was, Oh, the world is a little darker. Then I thought about the light that she kindled in so many. She was a scintillating spark. Every time we got together was an experience. It could never be for a few minutes but always extended to hours. Time disappeared with Dixie. We could discuss everything and anything and we could laugh about all kinds of things. Dixie had a way of...

Ralph is Dixie's cousin. We were surprised to hear of her passing when we returned from Disneyland yesterday. We so enjoyed the get togethers through the years of the old Central Park gang. Dixie was always a bright spot at those gatherings. She was so friendly and interested in everyone. What a special lady. We were so sorry we were not here for her funeral. We hope her family will accept our heartfelt sympathies. We were enriched by knowing her.

I was one of the youth Dixie mentored. She was such an inspiration to me. We had long talks and I knew she loved me. I wish I could be there to say goodbye and offer support to her family. I live in Milwaukee and can't make it out. But my Beehive leader will always be one my heroes. She was such an inspiration. I love you guy! Hang in there and take care. She is waiting for you!
Love, Shanna

While time remains relevant we shall miss your warm heart, kind hands, and glowing spirit. We cherish the memories we have shared. Blessed are your posterity and friends for your service.

We are so glad to have known Dixie. She brought light, laughter and love into our neighborhood. We will always remember the roadshows and her enthusiam for the actors to do their best. She was a great example to me and to our family.

Dixie was my wonderful Beehive advisor in the Draper 5th Ward. I remember so many lessons and activities with her that I have grown to appreciate more and more as I have become an adult. I still remember how she and Guy welcomed 10-15 12 and 13-year old girls to have slumber parties at their home. Those nights must have miserable for them, but we loved being there! I cherished for years dried olive leaves she shared from the Garden of Gethsemane, and a sketch of the Savior she made a gift...

Sandy Ashby Wight writes: If you go to the funeral give Nanette a hug from me. Nanette was my favorite young women's teacher of all time. Also, Rob was my age in school and we went to one of the school dances together.

I'm sad their mom has passed away. She was always a fun lady and a bit crazy. I bet her grand kids really loved her and lovded her unique personality.
