Dixie Jo Ullman
Dixie Jo Ullman, of Edna, Texas, gained her heavenly wings on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at the age of 89. She was born in Jackson County, Texas, on October 31, 1935, to the late Clifton and Margery Sheppard Clark.
Dixie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend who will be missed dearly. She graduated from Edna High School and attended Victoria College. Dixie taught Sunday School and kindergarten at First Baptist Church of Edna for several years. She retired from the Texas Department of Human Resources to enjoy precious time with family and friends. She loved dancing, camping, traveling, and planning family get-togethers full of good food, fun and games for all the grandkids, and the big kids at heart!
Dixie is survived by her son Robert Durham (Linda), daughters Peggy Hasdorff (Rick), Patricia Dusek, Lori Muschalek (John), sister Karen Eardley (John), 10 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Dixie is preceded in death by her first husband Bobby Durham, second husband Stroman Ullman, brother Everal (Butch) Clark, son-in-law Mark Dusek, and great-great grandson Krew Koch.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Dixie on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in the First Baptist Church of Edna with visitation at 9:30 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 10:30 a.m., Interment will begin at 1:00 p.m., at Enon Cemetery in Edna. Brother Joe McClanahan will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers or plants, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, First Baptist Church of Edna, or the charity of your choice.
