Stovall, Dody "She cooked, and she cleaned." That's how Dody Stovall said her obituary should read. All she wanted to be in life, she said, was a wife and mother. She wanted a stable, secure home where she could raise children and be a helpmate to her husband. Dody lived the life she wanted. She...

Not sure what to say?

Dearest Joe,Cathy,Scott,Spencer & all the family,
We offer our Prayers for healing, acceptance, comfort & peace. I am so sorry John & I did not know & could not attend.
What an eloquent commentary to Dody, in the paper. Dody was all love to all and will forever remain so. Dody is all better now.
Can't you just see it... Dody & Mom are in Heaven reviewing good times & honking it up together.
I know, "not a day goes by...".
May God's Grace, Peace & Strength uplift you...

To Dody Hall Stovall's family:
My Mother,Carolyn (Jackson) Troy was just crazy about your Mother. I grew up hearing her name and could hear the light in my Mother's voice as she referred to her dear friend Dody. We lost Mama some six years ago (November 12, 2002). I cried as I read the perfectly written obituary, feeling as if I too had lost someone I loved. My Father, Bernard, left us 10 months ago. On behalf of my parents, I just wanted to reach out and send you hugs and...

To all of you. So sad about Dody and each of you, but Praise-Praise we know where she is.

Do plan to call sometime soon.

Words cannot help you, I know, but please know you are earnestly in our prayers. Much love from us. The Bergmans

Dear Joe, Cathy, and family, I just learned of your mothers passing this afternoon. I have such wonderful memories of her from many years ago. She always had a wonderful southern spitit, and loving aura about her. I am sorry I was at the service this morning. I know she will be missed, but always remembered fondly by everone she touched duing her life.

My thoughts and prayers are with you tonight.

Sincerely,
Marilyn Lenox (Holley)

Joe and Family,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours at the passing of Dody.

My wife worked for you at Garland Bank & Trust and I graduated with Cathy from SGHS in 1971.

Again our sympathy to you.

Dear Joe & Family,

I was stunned to find Dody's Obituary in the paper this morning as I was searching for the death of one of Tom's cousins' great aunt in Krebs.

I just feel that Dody wanted me to read about her life and death, or I would not have begun a search today. What a lovely picture of her. She has always been a beautiful person inside and out. God must have sent her into this world to fulfill His mission of assisting those in need of understanding their...

Joe and family,
Our heartfelt prayers are with you all during this difficult time. We were unable to attend the funeral service, but as you know, we were there for visitation Wednesday evening. Dody looked beautiful in her lovely wooden casket which Brook had painted for her. Now she is at rest in the Lord. Only eternity will reveal the many blessings she has brought to so many lives. May the love and peace of Christ comfort you all in the days ahead.
Love and blessings,

Dear Joe and family,

My stepmother, Wilma Fletcher, told me about Dody's passing. Wilma is a member of the Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church where you were former members. I was concerned that I had not heard from all of you in awhile and spoke of you when I was talking with her yesterday evening. She had just heard of Dody's passing and shared it with me. I was terribly saddened. Of course, we all rejoice to know that Dody was an Angel on this earth and will be a supreme Angel in...

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

God Bless,

Brenda
