Not sure what to say?

Dear Martha and Family,

I just heard of Dohrs' passing and am deeply saddened by his loss on earth but Oh what celebrating must be going on in Heaven. Dohr and Martha, you have always been kind and gracious to myself and our family. You opened your home to myself and Patti on our visits to Indiana. I have long admired your dedication to our Lord and the works you have preformed on His behalf. I wish you many a shoulder to cry on and many a hug to get you through the sad times...

I was very saddened to hear of the physical loss of Dohr Krieg. One of the most genuine, God-fearing man I have ever met.

Dohr selflessly helped my grandmother (his next door neighbor on Addison Ave) many times.

I recall playing basketball with him when we would come up from Texas for family vacations, and the kindness and love he and Martha always gave to those around them.

My wife and I, along with our 5 children, live in that same house that Dohr and Martha raised...

Dear Aunt Martha,

My heart and prayers are with you, Pam , Melanie and Phil.

Uncle Dohr was such a wonderful man and I will miss him very much.

I always associate him with bright sunshine. He always had an optimistic outlook and cheery attitude and was so patient and fun to be near.

He may never have realized what a great role model he was and how much influence he had on my early years. He set a great example of devotion to Church and family.

I...

Mrs. Kreig,
You and Mr. Kreig were my first landlords in the apartment on Lake Ave. I have never forgotten you or our little nest. God Bless you and your family.
Meg (Perry) Haverstock

Pam,
My heart goes out to you for the loss of your father. He does live through you and what an honor you are to him. You yourself are such a caring and supporting person to all you meet. God bless you and your family. Love, Sherri.

Martha: I am remembering your visit to our humble apartment. Not long ago, three flights of stairs had to be climbed. Before leaving, Dohr whispered something by Sinatra in my ear, half dancing. My cheeks turned red as my eyes welled up with tears. Feeling how much he adored you, I know he sang that song to you, and looking forward to knowing that same love for Kyle in my old age. I am so glad you two had what you did together. I am overjoyed that Dohr is with Jesus. And am waiting to...

Pam, what a wonderful, Dad you had, and such a great life, and witness in the community. I'm sorry for your loss, but Heaven has gained one. God bless you, Allen Graber

Pam: what a beautiful obituary for a man who lived such a long and full life, and who is surrounded by such a large and loving family. May the peace of God's grace be with you all in the coming weeks.

Dear Martha ~ my prayers are with you during this time. I have so many fond memories of Dohr as he served God and our community for so many years. Always humble at heart, giving all he had to further the Kingdom of God and touch the hearts of children....a true example of a servant's heart. He will be missed but what an awesome legacy he leaves with all of us. May we remember and be inspired by his life to serve God well.
