Not sure what to say?

Dolores was a very important person in my life at one time, when we were both living in New York. Like others have mentioned, she was a woman of talent, quiet warmth, and a deliciously dry wit.

Back in Maryland, we never reconnected. I'm sorry about that. I'm also sorry I didn't get to say goodbye. This will have to do, and it's a sorry substitute.

I will miss Dolores whom I’ve known for some 30 years. We met while working at the City Dweller newspaper. She was the Art Editor; I was the Feature Editor. Somewhere along the way we became great friends. We’d go drinking together at the Ratz or in Fells Point, double date and meet on most Sundays at the Deli to talk and read the paper. Much of the time Dolores had to go home and clean: cleaning which never really got done. When she lived on Guilford Avenue the walls of her apartment were...

I had the great fortune of working with Ms Moran and I enjoyed the roller coaster ride. Her artwork impressed me, her eccentric style flattered me, her brillance enhanced my knowledge, our conversations I will never forget... While the bells still ring, an Angel is singing the story of her life. May God keep you and hold you in His arms forever. My condolences to all of her friends and family and especially her brother and family who she spoke so highly of. May God Bless.

I am so sorry to hear that Ms. Moran has passed away. I have worked with her for five years at Morgan State University in Baltimore. We shared the same office space for those years in (Institutional Research). We had alot of funny, exciting, and other memories together. I will never forget the comic book she wrote for me. I still have it. She will be missed. Glad that she passed away peacefully and she is not suffering anymore. God bless and REST IN PEACE!

To her family: God is...

Delores Moran was an employee at Morgan State University for several years. As the Director of Human Resources our work assignments required our paths to cross often. She was a quiet lady that performed well in her responsbilities. Her retirement from the University left a void for many individuals. On behalf of the University, I extend heartful condolences to her family and especially to her brother, Jack Delaney. May you find comfort in knowing that her pain and discomfort has ended.

With thoughts and condolences from our entire family!

I have been a friend of Dolores, and an admirer of her work for many years. As a fellow artist, I've always recognized the emotional honesty with which her work speaks to the viewer. We were in a few shows together, and her graciousness and wry wit was always present, even under sometimes trying circumstances.
Well Dolores, you're off the merry-go-round now, and the next set of bells you hear are bound to be much more pleasant. I look forward to the next showing of your work.
