Dolores H. Ramirez

Dolores was one of my mother's dearest friends. It was because of Dilo that I went to nursing school. She was a role model and a dear friend. She will be missed. Laura Rosales

Truly heart broken to hear of her passing. Delores was a very beautiful person, inside and out. She helped take wonderful care of my dad, Andrew Gomez before he passed. Her weekly visits to his house also helped me get through his illness. It was a blessing having her in our lives.

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Delores, but grateful for her service to our nation with the Peace Corps in Paraguay.

Ms. Ramirez, as I called her was a unique individual. I marvel at her desire to make a difference even at the young age of 92. I would see her willingness to serve on committee's in the Democratic Club on a regular basis. And, as noted in her obituary she had volunteered at Shannon in her role as part of the Shannon Auxiliary; as recent as two days before she was called home by our Lord and Savior. Dolores has won the final victory on this earth. She along with my dad W.Y. Herrera, Mrs. O.C. Rodgers, Glee Bell, Henry Velez and others I can't recall. Meals On Wheels, the Southside Neighborhood Center which provided cooking classes to teach recipients of commodities how to prepare delicious meals back in the day, English as a second language and sewing classes were a few projects this wonderful crew did to enhance the Southside of San Angelo. Dolores was such an inspiration and a wonderful role model for so many of us. She was always pleasant and a joy to be around. Just thinking of past memories brings a smile to my face. Prayer to all her family. My she RIP.
