I loved Dolores. She was a remarkable person who had a zest for living. Her husband Steve and my dad Tim had been great friends in their youth. Steve was the best man at my parent's wedding in 1936. They both moved to Baltimore for job opportunities, I believe in the late '30s. My parents enjoyed many visits and fun times with them through the years. After Steve passed away and then Mom passed away, I would still bring Dad up to the old hometown and it always included visits with Dolores....

Aunt Delores will live forever---in my heart. I will always remember when I would take her out for dinner when mom was in Fla. and we would share conversation and a glass of wine. I know mom will miss her so much because she was more than just "her sister" she was her best friend. She was a beautiful woman, both inside and out, just like mom.

What a wonderful service. I'm sure Aunt Dolores was very pleased. I have special memories of staying with her when I went to Pa. for Christmas and mom was in Floria. We went to the movies or out to eat. And of course taking her and mom to shop. Mom's last birthday was special because Aunt Dolores was able to join us for dinner. times. What a beautiful lady.

You were my Aunt Dolores and my Godmother. You were always nice to me and full of life. My favorite memories are of your sense of humor and it never seemed like anything bothered you. I'll miss you a lot.

I'll miss you Grandmom. I will always remember my special summer vacations with you and Grandpop when you showed my how to crochet and sew clothes for my barbie dolls. And, I'll never forget those enormous banana splits and counting coins.
I hope you and Grandpop are together again and happy.

Even though I lost contact with Dolores, I drive by her townhome everyday delivering Meals on Wheels and remember our long conversations and happy times. She was a very special lady whom I was priviledged to know.
