Not sure what to say?

Dear Ms.Ida, Joan, Donna, Barbara, Teri, and of course Donnie,

Words can never express how sad I was to hear that DOM was gone. He was one of a kind. The memories of growing up around the Anastasi family are some of the most special times of my life. Ms. Ida, you and Mr. A. were part of the most important years of growing up. You were both like second parents and I hope that you both knew what that meant to me. The teen years were the hardest and like Jim M. said you never got...

Aunt Ida, Joan, Donna, Barbara, Terry and Donnie: Where do I even begin to say what I feel? Sad that we have lost Uncle Don, but better for having had him in our lives. His white shoes and twinkling eyes just added to his wildly funny personality. I only remember laughter and his gravelly-voiced words of wisdom. I can still see all the aunts and uncles eating, laughing, loving at any given table at any given time. How lucky we were to be together as often as we were. My most fervent...

Grandpa, you always made the trips back home for me worth it. No matter what craziness was going on in my life you never made mention of it unless I wanted to discuss it. I thank you for that respect.

Not only were you my grandpa, but also you were my godfather, my confirmation sponsor, a mentor to many things you taught me, and best of all you were the ONLY OTHER PERSON in the entire family that had my HAZEL EYES!!!

Grady and I will miss our golf instructions you gave...

Dear Ida, Joan, Donna, Barbara, Terri,Donnie,& Family,

Wanted to let you know how very sorry I was to hear of your loss. I'll remember all the happy times we've had over many many years. All of you are in my thoughts & prayers. Love,

Donna, Mike, Natalie, Jennifer, and Gary:

You know your father/grandpa was like a grandfather to me, too. He will be greatly missed by everyone. Who is going to call me Streetcar now?

Mr. "A", I'll miss your laugh the most. Thanks for being a father figure to me and I can't tell you how many things you taught me about life, good workmanship and love.
Joan, Donna, Barbara, Terry, my best friend Donnie, and of course Mrs. "A", you were and are, like my other family of brothers and sisters and (Mom).
No matter what Donnie and I did (and we did a lot) you never got mad at us (in person anyway) and always understood.
Thanks for being part of my life, I'll miss...

Uncle Don was one-of-a-kind, always truly a kid-at-heart. No one loved a good laugh, great song [Arthur Godfrey comes to mind here], the spoken word quite the way Don did. He came by his never ending youth honestly -- first and foremost Aunt Ida and Uncle Don were always so in love it showed in every stage and situation, we can all be jelous of them, it is OK.
Knowing his Father Placid, it's easy to understand Don's wonderful balance in life. Don's legacy is a good life, gone great and...

Dear Aunt Ida and family, I am so sorry for your loss and ours. I can only picture Uncle Don with a smile and that twinkle in his eyes that was a sure sign of fun and laughter. My memory is filled with lots of fun times in District Heights, sleep overs, picnics, gathering for family affairs and much more. It breaks my heart that I am unable to be there with you at this special time, but I am with you in spirit and prayer. Love to each of you, Mary Jane, Marjorie and Amanda

Dear family of Dom,
We have very nice memories of him at family functions. Such a nice, nice man - we know you'll miss him terribly.
We send you our sincerest sympathy and prayers.
Love, Mary Lou and Owen
