I am reading David Halberstam's book "Summer of 49" and I can tell Dom was a true gentleman. Thank you for being a hero to an old Brooklyn Dodger fan.

Dominic Dimaggio did not know my husband Ralph C. I AM DEEPLY SADDENED TO HEAR OF DOMINIC'S DEATH.
I NAMED MY 2nd. SON(DOMINIC CHARLES DeMAGGIO, B: OCT.05, 1965) AFTER DOMINIC. HE WAS MY HERO OF THE 3 DiMAGGIO BROTHERS. THEY WERE ALL SUCH SWELL GUYS. WHEN I MARRIED INTO THE DiMAGGIO FAMILY IN JAN. 1959, I WAS SOON TO FIND OUT THAT THE ENTIRE DiMAGGIO/DeMAGGIO FAMILY ARE THE SWEETEST & LOVING FAMILY I HAD EVER KNOWN!
I KNOW THAT HIS WIFE & CHILDREN WILL MISS HIM VERY MUCH. MAY GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU,
ELAINE CALLAWAY DeMAGGIO...

I met Dominic 5 years ago at my father, Carlo Geraldi's 90th birthday party almost 5 years ago. He sat across from me. He was very quiet, yet very observant. He knew my daughter and son-in-law's wishes before they even had a chance to express them. He asked them to come over so that I could take a picture of them along side of him. What a treat, and what a thoughtful gentleman.
My thoughts of sympathy go out to the Dimaggio family and friends.
