My sincerest condolences go out to Dr. Purpura's family. He will be greatly missed by all, especially those of us at Einstein, in the Department of Neuroscience. I met him for the first time only six years ago, as I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to work within the suite where his office was located and I remember going to his final lecture and I remember when he injured himself and stopped coming into the office. I always hoped he'd return...I will never forget his...

To express my sincere sympathies to Dom's wife and family. He was such a fine man whose wisdom I benefited from as the first neurophysiology graduate student at Einstein.
