My sincerest condolences go out to Dr. Purpura's family. He will be greatly missed by all, especially those of us at Einstein, in the Department of Neuroscience. I met him for the first time only six years ago, as I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to work within the suite where his office was located and I remember going to his final lecture and I remember when he injured himself and stopped coming into the office.
