Obituary
Dominique Nirsa Ruiz, 5-month-old infant daughter of Michael Ruiz and Dawn Shutt of Saylorsburg, passed away Friday, Aug. 22, at the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg.
The family is a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Gilbert. In addition to Dominique's parents, she is survived by her paternal grandmother, Nirsa Ortiz of Saylorsburg; paternal great-grandmother, Lilliam Soltero of Kissimmee, Fla.; maternal grandparents, Michelle Younger and Michael Shutt of Saylorsburg; and maternal great-grandparents, Ruth Ann Hawk and George Reppert Jr. of Northampton.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, at the Donald N. Gower Funeral Home, Route 209, Gilbert, with the Rev. Father William J. McCawley officiating.
Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Buena Vista Cemetery, Brodheadsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family, c/o Michael Ruiz, 9 Graeber Townhouses, Saylorsburg, PA 18353.

Mikey, Dawn & Nilsa,
It's been two weeks since we had our Dominique snatched away from us without warning and yet it seems like an eternity she is not with us.
Like all of you, I have a giant hole in my heart that feels like it will never heal. I think of her always and even recently have to stop myself from blurting out her name. It's as if every time I think of a beautiful little girl her name is always on my lips.
