Oh yeah, Don sure loved practical jokes. Sometimes, after we had him slaughter one of our beef cattle, he'd cut it up and put it in the locker. Later, when we came in to pick up some meats, like roasts and steaks, we'd joke about how many ribs and backbone that steer must have had. It would probably be about 40 feet long if we added up all those bones! Never knew a butcher who ate poorly, that's for certain. Thanks for the laughs, Don, and the hunger pangs after all these years.
