To the Family,
Don Bartels was a dedicated school board member for the Richmond Unified School District. The students and staff are thankful for his service. I was in the Personnel Office at the time, working for Tom Anton.

Dear Lynette & Renee, Your Father was a very special man. He dreamed great dreams and made them a reality for himself, his family & his community. He will live in your hearts forever. I am so very sorry for your loss. Please know that my thoughts & prayers are with you. Sincerely, Paula

Dear Lynette, Renée, Lynda, my condolences for the loss of your dad/husband. I remember him as a distinguished and accomplished businessman and father while I was teaching at a Olinda and Valley View. My husband, Troy, always had a high regard for Don. Sincerely, Susan Rodrigues, Peters, Waid

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in the loss of your much-beloved Don.

Don hired me as a 22 year old kid on May 7, 1975. I worked at Bartels for 6 years and I always admired and respected Don and his business practices. My deepest sympathy for all the family and I will miss Don's smile and positive attitude. David K
