Don Arron Biggs Jr., 72, of Tavares, FL peaceful went home to be with the Lord on Monday May 28, 2018. He was born on January 27, 1946 in Milwaukee, WI. He was preceded in death by his my mother and step father Lenore and Carlos Zambrana and Sister Holly Pietrykowski. He is survived by his wife Kathy, daughters, Michele Biggs and Paulette Edwards, granddaughters, Bryana and Victoria Edwards, brother Larry (Debbie) Biggs, sister Robin (Roy) Beattie, brother in law Andy Pietrykowski and many niece, nephews and cousins. Don enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 1965 and served until 1967 being honorably discharged after serving in Vietnam for which he was awarded two Purple Hearts. Don accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in July of 1977. His greatest desire was to share God’s word and lead people to Christ. Don taught 5thand 6thgrade Sunday school at Falls Baptist Church in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin for 18 years. He worked in the corporate world for over 33 years at the Wisconsin Gas Company and Wisconsin Electric Company. He also owned and rented residential properties in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from 2001 to 2008. In 2008 he decided to retire and move to Tavares, Florida. Don and his wife, Kathy and daughter Michele joined Open Door Baptist Church in Clermont, Florida in 2008. He was voted in as a deacon in 2013. Don attended the Open Door Bible Institute from 2011 to 2013 when God laid it upon his heart to be involved in soul winning with Amazing Grace Missions in Dayton, Tennessee. He traveled to state and county fairs sharing the gospel.

So surprised and sorry to hear of Don's passing! Kathy thank you for a personal call to let me know. Don and I go way back to Wis Gas Co. days. AND well had many good times together in your years on 58th St., here in Milwaukee. My Prayers and Thoughts for you and all the family.

Don was a very caring person with a loving heart. He will be missed but not forgotten. My sincere condolences to Don's family & friends. Shalom my friend.

This is sad news indeed. I met Don when we were kids in the 60s. The two of us were into flying model airplanes. I had built a heavy balsa wood model that had an undersized engine and a large fuel tank. Don insisted on flying it, so I let him. It had a control line which meant Don had to made continuous circles for about 20 minutes. When the plane ran put of fuel, Don collapsed face first on the ground. He never asked to fly any of my planes after that day. We would hang out in the park on...
