Don Andrew Burbage, 79, of Pinetown, NC, peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023 surrounded by loved ones.


A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at St. Clair’s Church of Christ in Bath, NC and will be officiate by Craig Hagen. Burial will follow in St. Clair’s Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include; Larry Cordon, Sonny Cordon, Rocky Allen, Chris Burbage, Rodney Evans and Trent Burbage .


Don was born on September 27, 1943 to the late Marie Cordon Burbage and Forrest Andrew Burbage in Bath, NC.  He was raised, attended high school, and married in Virginia Beach, VA.  In the mid-70’s, Don moved to Bath, NC and continued a career in custom home construction until retiring in 2015.  


Don was predeceased by his parents, Marie and Forrest Burbage, a sister, Peggy Amanda Burbage, and an infant brother, Roger Dale Burbage.


Don is survived by his wife, Johnnie Mae Burbage of Virginia Beach, VA, two sons, Brett Burbage (Pam) of Bath, Dean Burbage (Jaime) of Pinetown, a daughter, Kimberly Burbage Braddy (Rodney) of Bath, eight grandchildren, Zachary, Brandon, Taylor, Braedon, Lauren, Ethan, Samantha, and Luke, four great grandchildren, Aubrey, Jocelyn, Jacob, Brody, and two brothers, Greg Burbage and Rex Burbage.


Don was a loving father and husband and will be missed by both family and friends.  He will forever live in our hearts.


The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.
