Not sure what to say?

My sincerest sympathies, I was lucky enough to have him as a English Teacher at South High School class of "76". I continued with my Poetry and I published my first Poetry book last year.He will be greatly missed.

I've missed you over the years Uncle Don, and I miss you even more now. Bet you and Dad are having a good laugh up there, together again. Sending all my love and prayers your way Aunt Cookie.

You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I was so lucky to meet and work for Don at South High School as his secretary when he was Dean. I then also was able to work for and with him at West High School when he was Assistant Principal. He was a true gentleman. He was smart, funny, thoughtful and genuine. I respected and admired him as my boss but I loved him like a father. I feel so lucky to have know Don Cauthron and been able to call him my friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you Cookie and all of the family.

My sincerest sympathies. Mr. Cauthron encouraged us all to step out of our comfort zones and write poetry, short stories and more. His gift for teaching gave us the confidence to go as far as our imaginations would take us....thank you and may the Lord's face shine upon you this day

Don was a true friend and an excellent teacher and administrator. Our prayers and condolences go out to you, Cookie. May God always bless you and your family.

I had the pleasure of working with Don for many years at South. I valued his friendship and dignity. Cookie, my prayers are with you.

Don watched me take my first steps in life in 1964 and gave me my first job in teaching in 1998. To this day, he was the best boss I ever had and because I admired him so much I wanted to do the best I could. I was blessed to have had him as a mentor, a role-model, and family friend.

A truly wonderful man and teacher. We'll miss you Mr. Cauthron, rest in peace. Mary Eggleston-South High Class of 1986
