Not sure what to say?

While I was competing in martial arts tournaments I like many others twisted my knee out of place. I went to to Don's office thinking my season was over but he surprised me with options my previous doctor never mentioned. I followed his advice after surgery and healed twice as fast. He saved my season and scholarship. The great ones seem to always leave us too soon. Thanks doc for you help when I needed you the most. R.I.P

I grew from having known him. He was a fine doctor and a very, very nice man. Such a loss. He will be missed! A former patient.

In 1978, delivered by LifeFlight to Hermann Hospital, Robert Chapman worked at lightening speed to turn around the vitals of a 22 year old with multiple trauma from a head on car wreck. He told my parents I would live, though he later confessed he didn't know why he made such a promise especially since the injuries were so severe. As I recovered, legs and neck in traction, he often came to visit after shift was over, late at night, just to visit and lift the spirits of a broken girl facing...

I was one of his first patients in Dallas when he started and saw him off and on his entire career. He was one of the truly great ones.

Karla: Linda and I are devastated with the news of your loss. We think of you often but have neglected staying in touch, much to our discredit We were so close to Bob with tennis and when our children were young. I will never forget Dr. Bob coming over to our house when Kenny was sick one night because Linda and I were concerned about his well being, and if I remember correctly it wasn't even an orthopedic problem. Yet Bob took time out of his busy life to come to the side of his friends....

Your story telling amazed me. In the many years I worked for you , I learned from you , I laughed with you, and once in a great while we shed a tear together. You were truley one of a kind, and a great person and physician. RIP my friend, I will think of you often , and you will be missed. You made so many positive impressions on so many lives. Your friend, Judy Chadwell

In the 10 years that I worked for Dr. Chapman, he taught me so very much that I still carry professionally and personally. He will be greatly missed. Rest well my friend and mentor.

Bob was very dear to many of us....such a sweetheart! He will be missed! Our prayers go out to you at this difficult time. Patti Richards and Tom Hogle
