RINGGOLD — Donald Edwin Crider, 69, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016, in a Nashville hospital. He was a retired electrician from Norfolk Southern Railroad, and was a United States Marine Corps Viet Nam Veteran. Don was a 1965 graduate of Avondale High School, and a member of Center Grove Baptist Church, Rock Spring. He is survived by his wife, Linda Crider, of Ringgold; a son, Shane (Gab rielle) Crider, of Gainsville, Ga.; a daughtger, Shelly (Troy, Jr.) Crompton, of Houston, Texas; and four grandchildren, Tyler Marie and Troy Crumpton ,III, and Preston and Zayne Crider. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor David Brown officiating. A private family Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery on Monday, at 10:30 a.m., with military honors. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
