Janice, Don's passing was a complete surprise to me. I knew Don, Donnie as he was at first called, perhaps forty plus years. We drifted apart of late, but I always considered him a friend. Hang in there, Frank Bradley

Just got the news today. Coach Dowlearn was always a great man and role model for many of us who attended SHS. A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops... I was blessed to have a teacher like him. He was a gentleman of knowledge, health and love. Please know that my love and respect for Coach Dowlearn will never die. May God be with you always.
