Don Ferguson

Dean Ferguson will always be remembered as a great teacher and an exceptional man.

Perhaps no grad student ever had the honor and the priviledge of having been a fortunate person who followed Dean Ferguson's directions.

Dean Ferguson was a father-figure, but make no mistake that he was also a professionally objective and demanding professor. He wanted the best for his family, his subordinates and colleagues, and above all, he wanted his students to be the best that they can be.

Probably I have not completely meassured up to his high standards, but in July...

Dean Ferguson, the way I had the honor and fortune to call him, has left a legacy that will continue to flourish beyond time.

Even in different languages, words cannot truly express the depth of respect and love that I always feel in my heart for my exceptional mentor and father-figure.

I sincerely wish this great man's family members, and especially grandchildren and their future children, the best of all the peace, comfort, good health, and success.

Had the pleasure of being inspired by Dean Ferguson, as professor and when I was a practicing educator. He was always positive and provided opportunities for me to learn and put the learning into practice. He will be missed.

I am a close friend of Mary, Don's daughter,and her two sons. My husband and I lived next door to the Bells when Kevin was alive. I have no doubt Don was a wonderful man as he produced a wonderful daughter, who raised two great sons. Our condolences to the family.
