Don "Butch" Fritts Jr.

Butch was well loved and certainly will be missed by all of us. May God comfort you and give you strength as you grieve his passing.

Don and Diane, I was so sorry to hear about Butch's death. It is so hard to believe. He was so alive and relished life to it's fullest. I don't know how he died but hope it was not a lingering death. We are envious of so many people we meet. I was envious of Butch; not for his choices or possessions, but for his ability; his ability to put so much life into his years. So many go through life in a daze, Butch embraced each and every day. Butch did not win all of his battles, but they were all his battles win or lose.

I was o sad to hear the news. You and Don have watched me grow up. have graduated college, got married, and start a family of my own. No w I feel like a part of my family is gone. Butch was my cousin and I live in California and only was able to meet him once and it was instant little girl worshop. Through my grandmother, I had always asked about him and in my teens she sent me a picture of him in a great karte stance(I blew it up), and have had it ever since. Unfortunatally I was never able to see him in person again. But through Diane and X-Mas cards we have kept in touch somewhat. Imagine what it's like to have somene like him around during your formative years! To show you, not just tell you, that you don't have to worry about what others think of you.... to show you that you can be yourself....... that trying to impress others is for the birds! We knew him as "Fritts", not just our handyman, but he oversaw the construction of our entire house. Our dogs could hear his big white "poopsie" work truck blocks away and would get excited to see him coming because he always gave them so much attention and often a treat. He taught us how to make deer jerky and deer sausage. He was incredibly smart, talented, and funny; also extremely stubborn. He flew us in a small plane once, and I doubt I would trust anyone else to do that. I can picture...
