Father Don was the first priest that I got to know as a friend and confident. I will miss him calling me "Shorty".even though I fussed about it. He will be missed. Wanda Frank.

No one can replace Father Don in our hearts and in our friendship. He was a kind, constant friend who was always with my family in times of tragedy and great happiness! He was an inspiration to me in my youth and into my senior years. I will greatly miss him as will all of my family and all of his Christian family. Rest in Peace Father Don you deserve it!!

Father Don was the best. In the late 1960s he was a regular visitor at our Houston Fire Alarm dispatch center. As our Chaplin he would respond to active fires, he was a "fireman" at heart. We missed him when he was sent to other cities. Rest in peace Father.
