Longtime former KNTV Channel Eleven Anchorman, Don Hayward, passed away at his home in Santa Cruz on January 28th with his family at his side. His memorial service will be held Saturday, February 25th at the Santa Cruz Elks Lodge, 150 Jewell Street, at 1 p.m.

While working with Capitola PD I use to see Don taking his morning walk. I would pull over and talk to him about politics, sports current events. He always gave me a wave and a smile and made my day brighter. Thanks Don.
