Don Hedin

You brought so much to my childhood and my imagination. Your illustrations in the "CYOA" books were everything. R.I.P my friend.

I am saddened to learn of the passing of Mr. Hedin.

Last year, I attempted to contact Mr. Hedin to express thanks for his work. I am sorry to have lost the opportunity to thank him personally.

I too wanted to say that Don's illustrations for the original Choose Your Own Adventure book series in the late 1970s and early 1980s are deeply integrated into my childhood memories. As an adult, I own many of these books and still find great comfort and magic in them and look forward to sharing them with my children. I am sorry I never thought of emailing Don until now. The illustrations that Don made ??for the books of "Choose Your Own Adventure" are an indivisible part of my childhood.

He left us physically. But his legacy has transcended the physical barriers to reach new dimensions.
