Sweet Dave, I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad. I had a feeling something was wrong when he didn't call last week for my birthday. It's the first one he's missed in over 40 years. You know, he loved you so much and was so very proud of you and kept me updated over the years with your many accomplishments. I know you will miss him. He was the longest friendship I've ever had. And I also, will miss him being in this world....

I'm so sorry for you loss. May the God of all comfort bring peace to your family during this difficult time.

Had the pleasure of serving with Don back in the mid-'60s at NAS New Orleans. He had a personality that matched his name. Fair winds and following seas Don. My condolences to his family and friends.
